Closed-Cell Removal and Reinstatement of a Hipped Roof in Petersfield
This closed-cell spray foam removal project involved opening a slope on a hipped roof and reinstating the tiled covering afterwards. The direct before-and-after comparison shows the scale of the opened area and its relationship with the adjoining roof slopes.
Opening one roof slope
The covering was removed from a substantial section beside a slope that remained tiled. This exposed the rafters and the materials within the roof bays, giving access to the installation beneath. Temporary sheeting was visible at the lower edge during the stripping stage.
Reinstating the tiled roof
After the removal stage, the roof covering was reinstated across the opened area. The hip line provides a useful reference between the two views, running up towards the chimney. The after photograph shows tiles across the slopes, with a rooflight visible on one side.
The reinstated roof
The result is a restored tiled appearance following a roof-level removal operation. This project is particularly clear as an exterior comparison: the exposed rafters in the before view become a covered slope in the after view. It rounds out the batch with a hipped-roof example of closed-cell removal and roof reinstatement.
