Closed-Cell Removal with Underlay and Batten Replacement in Andover
Countrywide Roofing & Insulation carried out closed-cell foam removal alongside renewal of the layers beneath a tiled roof. The work opened the affected slope, removed the installation and progressed to new underlay and battens beneath the reinstated tiles.
Stripping the affected roof area
The roof was stripped beside an area that remained covered, making the working boundary clear. Exposed rafters, foam material and existing quilt insulation were visible during removal. Opening that section provided access to the installation and the layers beneath the covering.
Removing the old materials
Removed foam and roofing materials were gathered at ground level while the roof work continued. This supporting view records the volume and mix of material taken out, alongside the exposed roof structure above. It forms part of the stripping sequence rather than the final site handover.
Rebuilding below the tiles
New underlay and red battens were fitted before the tiles were reinstated over the renewed area. Close-ups near the slope and ridge show the rebuilding layers still visible during the work. The project demonstrates the combined scope of closed-cell removal and reconstruction beneath an existing tiled roof appearance.
