The roofing process begins with an initial meeting and site preparation. The team arrives at the agreed time to discuss the work schedule with the customer, ensuring clear communication and alignment on the project scope.
Once everything is set, the roof tile removal process starts. The tiles are carefully stripped and either stacked on scaffolding or placed in the skip for disposal. The old batons and roofing felt are then removed, and any nails are extracted from the rafters to prepare the surface for new materials.
Next, vent strips and a membrane are installed. This step includes fitting new fascia vent strips and felt support trays at the eave level to enhance ventilation and support. A breathable membrane felt and treated batons are then placed to provide durability and protection against weather conditions.
The installation phase continues with securing new batons and tiles according to the client’s specifications. Ridge tiles, verges, hip tiles, and any necessary lead work are also fixed to ensure a strong and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Once the roof is complete, the team carries out a thorough cleanup and waste disposal. All waste materials are safely discarded, and the site is meticulously cleaned before the scaffolding is removed, leaving the property tidy and free of debris.
