Closed-Cell Removal Beside an Existing Dormer in Crawley
This closed-cell spray foam removal project involved a storage loft beneath a roof with an existing dormer. Foam covered the lower roof slopes around timber supports and stored items, with the work later accessed through the opened covering outside.
Foam in the lower loft areas
The low roof angle divided the loft into smaller areas beside the main timbers. The installation continued down towards the eaves, beyond the more open central space. Removing the foam involved those lower bays as well as the slope above them.
Accessing the roof from outside
Opening the roof exposed the rafters from above, with existing floor insulation visible below. The progress view records foam residue on timber surfaces while removal was underway. It gives a broader view of the installation than the close internal photographs alone.
The roof beside the dormer
The later exterior view shows the tiled slope leading towards the dormer, with scaffold access along the roof edge. This roof shape is the distinctive feature of the job. The case study follows closed-cell removal and roof reinstatement around the existing layout, without suggesting that the dormer itself was newly built or altered.
