Closed-Cell Removal Along a Long Pitched Roof in Eastbourne
Countrywide Roofing & Insulation removed closed-cell spray foam from a long pitched roof as part of roof covering renewal. The installation extended between the rafters and around the substantial horizontal timbers, with the roof work accessed from scaffolding outside.
The original foam-covered roof
The original foam followed the slope down towards the lower roof area. The length of the roof meant the work continued across a repeated series of bays rather than a single isolated patch. Removing the installation revealed that timber pattern and the lining behind it.
Renewing the layers beneath the tiles
Fresh underlay and battens were installed beneath the tiles during rebuilding. The scaffold walkway ran along the slope, with tiles laid out above the replacement layers as work progressed. This linked the internal removal to the wider roofing operation.
An exposed roof underside
The after view looks along the loft towards the far gable, showing exposed rafters and dark underlay above the quilt insulation. That long perspective makes the change especially clear. The roof underside can be followed bay by bay where the closed-cell installation previously covered the lining.
