Closed-Cell Foam Removal and Tiled Roof Reinstatement in Newbury
This closed-cell removal project follows the work from foam attached around the rafters to a reinstated tiled roof. Countrywide Roofing & Insulation opened the covering, removed the installation and rebuilt the roof layers before the tiles went back into place.

Clearing the roof timbers
The removal stage exposed the timber roof frame from above. Close-up views show the foam being separated beside the rafters, while the wider view reveals the loft beneath the opened slope. Working through the installation gradually opened up the individual roof bays.
Rebuilding the roof covering
Replacement red underlay and battens were fitted across the roof. Tiles were distributed above that layer as reinstatement progressed. This stage connects the exposed frame to the final roof covering, showing the construction beneath the surface rather than only the finished appearance.
The reinstated tiled slope
The later exterior photograph shows a consistent tiled covering around the chimney and across the slope. It gives this project a clear visual outcome. The complete sequence tells the story of closed-cell removal and roof reinstatement without relying on unrecorded structural repairs or additional loft improvements.
