Open-Cell Spray Foam Removal in Winchester

Countrywide Roofing & Insulation completed an open-cell spray foam removal project, transforming foam-covered roof slopes into clearly exposed felt and rafters.

The before-and-after photographs show the difference: thick, uneven foam covering the underside of the roof before removal, followed by visible roof felt and timber surfaces afterwards.

The existing open-cell spray foam covered the roof slopes between the rafters, with material also extending onto sections of timber.

The photographs show an uneven application, with substantial projections into the loft in places. This concealed much of the roof lining and parts of the timber surfaces beneath it.

The sloping roof and existing framework shaped the working space available for removal.

Removing the open-cell spray foam

Our team removed the foam from the roof slopes, working between the rafters and around the existing roof timbers.

Care around the underlying felt was an important part of the work. As the foam was removed, the previously covered roof lining and timber surfaces became visible.

A clear before-and-after result

The finished areas shown in the photographs are substantially clearer, with the heavy foam coverage removed and the roof surfaces exposed.

This provides better visibility of areas that were previously concealed and makes them more accessible for visual inspection.
