Loft Insulation and Boarding in Bournemouth

Countrywide Roofing & Insulation completed a loft insulation and boarding project in Bournemouth, creating practical storage and access areas alongside insulation at loft-floor level.

The work combined loft insulation, timber support framing and fitted boarding around the existing roof structure.

Making better use of the loft

The project brought together two common homeowner priorities: improving loft insulation and making the available space more useful.

The roof braces, floor joists and hatch position shaped the boarding layout. Our team worked around these features to create defined access and storage areas within the loft.

Installing loft-floor insulation

Loft insulation was fitted across the floor areas shown in the project photographs, including sections outside the boarded platforms.

Insulating at loft-floor level helps reduce heat loss from the living accommodation below. Combining this work with boarding allowed both improvements to be addressed during the same project.

Fitting the boarding

Our team installed timber support framing before fitting the loft boards.

The boarding followed the available space around the roof braces and hatch, creating access routes and wider areas for suitable household storage.

The finished photographs show the boarded sections alongside the surrounding insulation, with the existing roof structure remaining accessible.

The finished result

The completed project provided an insulated loft floor with practical boarded areas for access and storage.

By planning the insulation and boarding together, we created a more useful loft space that worked around the property’s existing layout.
