Closed-Cell Removal and Replacement Roof Insulation in Maidstone
This project combined closed-cell spray foam removal with roof insulation renewal. The work progressed from foam beneath the loft roof to exposed rafters, replacement rigid insulation boards and new underlay and battens during rebuilding.

Removing the original foam layer
The original foam filled the roof bays above the loft partitions. Opening the covering from outside revealed the timber structure and allowed the installation to be removed as part of the roof stripping work. The rafters provided a clear reference for the replacement layers that followed.
Installing replacement roof insulation
Foil-faced rigid insulation boards were fitted between rafters across the opened slope. The installation-stage view shows some bays completed while others remained open. This records the replacement roof insulation itself, alongside the wider removal and roofing scope.
Renewing the layers above
The scaffolded exterior view shows fresh underlay and battens above the property, with removed material collected below. The project brings foam removal and roof insulation into one sequence: take out the original installation, fit replacement insulation and rebuild the roof layers above it. The detailed insulation build-up remains a matter for the job specification.
