Closed-Cell Removal Above an Established Storage Loft in Worthing
This closed-cell spray foam removal project involved a loft already used extensively for storage. Shelving, boxes and other belongings occupied the space beneath foam-lined slopes, with rooflights and timber supports forming part of the existing layout.

A loft already in regular use
The foam installation followed the roof slopes above the storage area and around the timber structure. The project therefore involved an established loft environment rather than an empty roof void. External roof access formed an important part of the documented removal process.
Reaching the foam through the roof
Opening the covering exposed rows of foam between the battens. The team worked through the installation from roof level, with sections stripped back to the rafters as removal progressed. The external views show how the foam sat within the roof assembly above the loft.
Documenting the roof-edge work
Work also reached the lower edge of the roof, where the exposed structure and eaves detail are visible beside the scaffold. This case study focuses on that external removal sequence. It demonstrates the relationship between a busy storage loft below and the roof-level work needed to reach the closed-cell installation above.
