Closed-Cell Removal, Re-Roofing and Replacement Insulation in Taunton
This project brought together closed-cell spray foam removal, roof renewal and replacement loft insulation. The recorded work involved a perished roof membrane, so the scope extended beyond taking out the foam to renewing the underlying roof layers and replacing the existing insulation.
Removing foam and the affected roof layers
The original installation covered the roof lining between the timber members. Opening the roof from outside exposed those layers and allowed the foam-removal work to be coordinated with stripping the covering. The roof frame became visible as the affected materials were taken out.
Replacing the loft insulation
The scope also included removal of the existing loft insulation and supply and installation of replacement insulation. Bringing these tasks together meant the loft insulation and roof work could be addressed within the same project. The final insulation specification should always be taken from the job documentation.
A renewed tiled roof
The renewed grey tiled covering gives this project a clear exterior outcome. The finished roof slopes and gable edge show the progression from an opened frame to a reinstated roof. It is a combined example of closed-cell removal, replacement insulation and roofing work delivered as one coordinated job.
