Open-Cell Spray Foam Removal in a Partly Boarded Exeter Loft
Countrywide Roofing & Insulation carried out open-cell spray foam removal in a loft containing existing boarded sections, floor insulation and stored items. The position of the loft hatch and the timber framework shaped the available working area.
The supplied photographs record the access layout and roof surfaces after removal, rather than a complete before-and-after sequence of the foam itself.

Planning around the existing loft layout
The floor views show a mixture of boards, exposed areas and insulation, with services visible near the hatch. This was not an empty loft with a continuous floor.
The removal work needed to take account of that layout while reaching the roof slopes beyond the boarded sections. Existing roof braces also divided the space above the floor.
Removing the foam from the roof sections
Our team completed the open-cell removal around the existing framework. The later views show the roof lining visible between the rafters and behind the diagonal supports.
These photographs connect the roof-level result with the working space below, giving a fuller picture of the loft than a single close-up of a cleared rafter.
A removal project within an existing storage space
The finished roof views show the underlying lining and timber arrangement exposed. Floor insulation and the hatch remain visible in the project photographs, placing the removal within the wider loft layout.
This project brings together two aspects of working in an occupied loft: access through the existing floor arrangement and removal from the roof slopes above. Considering both helps define the work needed at the outset.
