Open-Cell Foam Removal Beside a Brick Gable in Nottingham

Countrywide Roofing & Insulation completed open-cell spray foam removal in a loft with a brick gable wall and substantial timber supports. The foam-covered roof slopes extended towards the end wall and the upper roof junction.

The supplied collage combines closer views of the original foam with wider photographs of the exposed lining after removal.

Following the slopes towards the end wall

The roof sections beside the gable formed a distinct part of the installation. Before removal, foam covered the areas between the rafters and surrounded the edges of some timbers.

Our team addressed these roof sections around the existing supports, following the slope towards the brickwork rather than leaving the end of the loft out of the project record.

Recording the cleared surfaces

The after photographs show the darker roof lining between the rafters and a wider view towards the brick gable. The overlapping sections of lining and the upper timber arrangement can be seen.

Using both angles makes the result easier to understand: one records the exposed surface in detail, while the other places it within the overall roof structure.

The finished roof-level view

The heavy foam coverage in the before images has been removed from the photographed slopes, making the lining and adjoining rafters visible again. Floor insulation remains visible below the working area.

The end-wall view is a useful part of this project: it shows the removal extending towards the gable and places the closer roof photographs in context. Together, the images give a clear account of the roof-level change.
