Open-Cell Spray Foam Removal from Roof Slopes and a Gable in Solihull
The open-cell spray foam installation on this project extended beyond the sloping roof surfaces onto the gable wall. Shelving, boarded sections and timber supports formed part of the existing loft layout.
Countrywide Roofing & Insulation removed the foam from the roof sections and gable area shown, revealing both the roof lining and the masonry beneath the installation.

Addressing more than the roof slopes
The before photographs show foam between the rafters and across the end-wall area behind the storage shelving. Those different surfaces made the scope broader than a removal confined to the main roof slope.
The team worked through the roof and gable sections around the existing loft features. The shelving and boarded floor are useful reference points within the photographic record.
Revealing the roof lining and brickwork
The after views show the roof lining between the timbers, together with the brick gable surface that had been covered by foam. The six-panel collage records both the wider layout and closer details.
One view follows the roof towards its upper junction, another records the end-wall brickwork, and a third shows the lower roof sections. This makes the change across the different surfaces easy to follow.
A clearer view across the loft
The completed areas shown have their roof lining, timber edges and end-wall surface visible again. Comparing the panels makes the extent of the original coverage easier to appreciate.
This job demonstrates why the agreed removal area should include every surface involved in the installation. Foam on a gable can otherwise be overlooked when attention is focused only on the rafters above.
